Merry Christmas!

I’m a little late getting our Christmas post done, we just got back into town last Wednesday and have been going non stop ever since.  We had a wonderful Christmas this year spending it in MS.  Bo and I went over the weekend before Christmas and Jarrod joined us on Thursday since he had to work.  We had a wonderful time hanging out with family, visiting with friends, and my favorite…meeting my sweet baby niece Vivienne.  If she was around I held her the entire time…I didn’t share for one minute!!  She is the tiniest, snuggliest (not sure that’s even a word) little thing.  She is SO good, she literally only cried if she’s hungry or wet.  That was a bit refreshing for us, since Bo at that age cried, screamed morning, noon, and night due to colic and reflux.

We had our Christmas on Christmas Eve since my brother had to work on Christmas day.  We started off by baking cookies for Santa, which is something Bo and I and sometimes Jarrod always do on Christmas Eve.  Later that day everyone came over, we opened gifts, and ate our weight in yummy food!!  Christmas morning we woke up and lucky for Bo Santa had made a stop at Pop and Bebe’s house!!  We spent the rest of the day playing with Hot Wheels and monster trucks, enjoying more food, and relaxing.

A few people have asked how Bo did with Vivienne…to be honest, he completely ignored her.  It’s interesting because before we started telling him we were going to have a baby come live with us in our house he loved seeing babies.  Anytime we’d go into a store, the park, school he would always point out the babies.  Now, he wants nothing to do with them.  Not sure if that is coincidence or if he’s smarter than we give him credit for!!  The only time he’d get around her was if he knew she was leaving and he was quick to say “bye bye baby”.  The most interesting gift Bo got was a baby doll from Aunt Kim and Uncle Jason. We tried to get Bo to look at it or touch it, but he instantly said “night night baby” and put it down.  I must admit I think daddy was pleased with this response, glad to know he isn’t into baby dolls haha!  Maybe we can get it out in a few more months and see what happens.  It was funny…just hoping he will come around when our baby gets here!

The day after Christmas Jarrod and I went up to Memphis for two nights.  For those who may not know we met in Memphis, exactly one week before Jarrod moved away to NJ.  My dear friend Patrick, the General Manager for the new Westin gave us a huge corner suite…complimentary!  Gotta love having worked in the hotel industry and still having friends who are there!  We went to some of our old favorite places, enjoyed wonderful meals, and relaxed, just the two of us!  Where was Bo you wonder?  In heaven with Pop and Bebe…I would call to check in and he’d have a list of things they were doing.  Even in the freezing cold temperatures both of them were outside playing with Bo, now that is a dedicated grandparent!  He loves visiting them, as a matter of fact when we were getting back into Atlanta he started crying saying he wanted to go to "Pop & Bebe’s house”.   Thank you so much mom and dad for giving us a few nights away, it was much needed and greatly appreciated!!!

Now it’s back to work for Jarrod and regular routine for mommy and Bo.  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!
