The Lawson Family...: Lately

So I know I have many friends and family wondering why I haven’t put up any pictures lately. I’m sorry! If you could see our dining room right now it is covered in clothes wall to wall. I’m getting ready for our MOPS Consignment sale and we are unloading it all. Any spring/summer kids clothes, maternity clothes, baby gear, nursery decor, etc… I’m literally having to hang and safety pin each item to the hanger so it doesn’t get lost, enter the item, price, description into the computer system, then print the tags, cut, and attach the tag to the item. I’ve been working on this for weeks and I still have SO much left to do. Our sale is next weekend so between now and then that is what I’ll be doing. Chances are next week my house will not be cleaned, family won’t be fed, and the kids will get to watch LOTS of tv! It makes me so, so sad to get rid of these things, but according to daddy we are done with kiddos so there’s no reason to keep it all. Jarrod has literally walked in to see me sitting in a pile of clothes with tears in my eyes. Don’t worry I’m keeping a lot of items and some of them I want to later have made into a quilt for them to keep.

Anywho…back to the kiddos! Charlotte turned 9 months this past Sunday, I just can’t believe it!! Today I took both kids in for their checkups, which included shots for both kids, sometimes I wonder what I’m thinking when I schedule things like that. You should have seen me dragging out two screaming kids as we left. Oh well, we all survived!

Bo’s stats are…

Height 43inch--95%

Weight 40 lbs—50%

Charlotte’s stats are…

Height 29 1/4—95%

Weight 20.6 lbs—50%

I thought it was funny that both kids were in the 95% for height and 50% for weight. My mom said I was always in the 95% in height and Jarrod, well there’s no questioning his! The pediatrician did say she would guess Bo will end up about 6’3!! Charlotte is now in 12-18 months clothes! She’s getting so big and has definitely come out in personality. I’m afraid she may have had us all fooled…we thought (and prayed) she was going to be our mild, calm baby, but we are learning otherwise! She has found her voice and she LOVES to use it!!! We call her our little pterodactyl, that’s exactly what she sounds like. She is much more needy than Bo ever was!! They are both handfuls, but in very different ways. Bo was exhausting because he just NEVER stops. Charlotte is more of a handful because she always wants to get into everything she’s not supposed to like the electrical cord, electrical outlets, etc… We actually never had to deal with that with Bo, he was never interested in those! She doesn’t want to be left anywhere for more than 10-15 minutes. She’s mobile and does NOT want to be confined. She’s going to be our quieter of the two, but our sneaky one I’m afraid. She loves to explore. I can call her name when she’s headed for something she’s not supposed to have and she’ll turn around, give me a smile, and then continue on to whatever she was headed for! She’s a mess I tell you!!!
