Well I am SO behind on updating this blog. I promise in the new year I will do better, it’s one of my resolutions :) We’ve had SO much going on the past 6 months, but I love this blog it’s my life, literally, so I really hope to do better!
So we got to enjoy Christmas in MS this year, I guess really that’s this past year huh? Anywho…it turned out to be quite a trip! We went over the Friday before Christmas and even on the way over I felt like something just wasn’t right with Charlotte, but I just blamed it on teething. She was very fussy and didn’t eat much. On Christmas day, my brother went to get her up from her name and she was covered in vomit. Well at that time I figured it was her reflux because she had just eaten before we put her down. The next day we got a phone call from my brother asking if anyone had gotten sick because he had been sick all night. Again, didn’t see where this was headed!! I started feeling a little off on Monday, but couldn’t figure out what was going on and Charlotte was sleeping a lot!! Late Tuesday afternoon Charlotte got sick again and I knew she definitely had some kind of virus. Shortly after she got sick my mom started getting sick. That night around 10:30 it hit me. It was HORRIBLE!!!! Next thing I know Jarrod is coming to get me at 4:30am to take Charlotte because he was feeling bad, so he got knocked out! Fast forward a few more hours to about 9:00am and next up was Bo! So out of 6 people in the house 5 of us were so, so, so sick. Somehow my dad got lucky, he complained of not feeling well, but he never actually got hit with the stomach virus. It was a rough virus, it took a good 5 days to finally feel normal again. So needless to say that was a Christmas we’ll never forget.
On another note it was baby girl’s First Christmas and it was so much fun, I’m just glad we got through Christmas day before getting sick. Bo had an absolute BLAST!!! This was the first year he was actually requesting gifts from Santa and we saved his “big” gift for the very end. It was priceless seeing him open it! It technically wasn’t the biggest gift, but it was the one he wanted the most! Between Santa, aunts, uncles, and grandparents we really should have rented a Uhaul, you should have seen us trying to get everything back. It was a wonderful trip, other than getting sick, but I must say…if you are going to get sick, I’m talking deathly sick like we all were there’s no better place than at home with your mom!! I have NO idea what we would have done without her. She was the first to get sick so she had a few hours on us, she started to feel better first and bless her for taking the kids so I could get some sleep when Charlotte would sleep. My sweet mom, took care of Bo as he got sick. He was getting sick about once an hour and he layed on the couch and Bebe would help him each time with the trash can, keep a cold rag on him, and change out his movies, and give him LOTS of TLC. Reminds me so much of her doing that for me when I was little. There’s nothing better than seeing your kids get the same treatment. THANK YOU MOM!!!!!
A favorite tradition…the Lights in Canton! On a VERY cold night!!!!
I kept baby girl in the baby carrier to try and keep us both warm!
One thing Bo was BEGGING to do was ride Pop’s 4wheeler, so dad didn’t waste anytime getting it out!
Pop and Cousin Vivie
This is what he did all day, which was good because it was so cold and rainy!
Cousins playing!
