Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving as I’m hoping you all did!  We went to Greenville, SC to visit Jarrod’s family.  We had a great time seeing everyone, but I must say the “hit” in Bo’s eyes was his cousin Lily!  He loves Josie too, but Josie is a little younger and doesn’t quite understand why Bo can’t play with her like other friends her age.  Although, her mom says that she thinks as soon as he turns 3, he’ll get it…he’ll understand things, speak better, and mind haha!  Hmmm, that’s a lot of pressure on January!  The kids had a blast playing and it was so nice to be able to send them in the next room to play and not have to worry too much…I’m trying to work out a deal where Lily come and stays with us for a weekend or so!  It was also great getting to spend time with Jarrod’s parents, sister and brother in law.  We also got our first trip to downtown Greenville, which I must say I was most impressed!  It’s adorable and seems like a fabulous place to raise a family. 

The only negative to Thanksgiving this year is I came home with a horrible stomach virus that started Sunday night.  After talking with Kim it turns out Josie was hit on Sunday night as well.  Jarrod never actually got sick, but had constant nausea for about a day.  I was wiped out, but finally starting to feel better.  So far Bo has gotten away untouched, I just hope it stays that way!  If everyone is well then we will head out for our Christmas tree Saturday.  We definitely have a very busy December planned, but all fun things!  Just trying not to do too much and remember what the season is all about!

Turkey Treats

Last week I made these Oreo Turkeys for Bo’s class.  They were a huge hit, definitely a new Thanksgiving tradition!!

 

Opera Company of Philadelphia

On October 30th, the Opera Company of Philadelphia had 600 singers surprise shoppers at Macy’s in Philadelphia for their “Random Acts of Culture”.  Can you imagine just being in there shopping and this starting… it’s beautiful!

Precious Family Moments

So a few weeks ago we had some family pictures taken by a sweet friend of mine.  It’s been a year since we have had “professional” pictures taken and man the difference between a child almost two and a child almost three is huge!!!!   He did NOT want to cooperate.  I do have to admit it was so cold, so you did have to be a trooper.  He didn’t want to smile, I know people thought we were crazy if they saw us trying to get him to laugh or smile.  I kept telling Jarrod I couldn’t wait to see them just because I knew there would be some that would be hysterical!  Sure enough there were…this is a true “picture” of life with Bo these days!

Now that you got a good laugh I will share some of the cute ones…the rest you’ll just have to wait and see!  Still trying to pick out our Christmas card picture so I’m not going to post them all.

Costume Parade

We had Bo’s school costume parade this morning and it was absolutely adorable!!  I think the batteries were dying in my camera because it was very slow taking pictures so they didn’t come out great, but you get the idea.  Each class walked around the room three times it was hysterical!!  Of course, Bo being the ham he is was eating up all the attention!!!  He’s really excited about Halloween, I think it’ll be fun this year…he seems to get it and he practices saying “trick or treat” all the time!

    

  

Toy Story on Ice

A few weeks ago Jarrod and I took Bo to Toy Story on Ice!  He loved it!!!  You could tell he was a little unsure of what everything was, but he had a blast watching it.  He REALLY loved the popcorn!!  We had great seats, they were actually Jarrod’s company club seats, so Bo was really able to see everything really well.

Finally!

So we have been trying for months to get Bo to ride his big 4 wheeler and he’s always been scared to get on it.  Last week we had James and both of his older brothers over for a play date.  I had a feeling that’s all it would take.  Once Bo saw Evan and Cade riding the 4 wheeler Bo was all about it!  He rode that thing for 30 minutes straight and pitched a fit when it was time to get off.
