Decorations

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...finally! With a sprained ankle, a toddler, and Jarrod out of town this is the best I could do. Some things I had done before heading home for Thanksgiving so when we got back all that was left were the outside decorations and our tree.  I had wanted to do something different on the outside, but Jarrod is out of town this weekend and the next few weekends are packed with things to do so I went the candle route.

Jarrod was here to buy and get the tree up.  I love Noble Firs, I always have, however for some reason there was only one place, Pike Nursery, around here that you could buy them. I thank God for blessing me with a patient husband as I made him go to 3 different places to find a noble fir.  And to top it off they are apparently the most expensive of the choices we had!  I have a rule that Jarrod should never be taller than our tree...he's 6'5 in case you are wondering.  In this house the ceiling in our family room is only 8ft tall so what did I pick out...an 8ft tree!  Yep, sure did!  It was by far the prettiest one they had.  We asked them to cut extra off the bottom and some of the very top branch which brought it down to about 7'5...add the star and you have 8ft!  Leave it to me to push the limit :)  Bo also has his own tree in his room, but he's sleeping which means you'll just have to wait to see it!

instead of an ordinary centerpiece for our kitchen table I decided to make a candy display!

Daddy didn't want a tree on top of the new car
so here is Bo trying to figure out why a huge tree is in the car beside him.

He looks thrilled doesn't he!!
