Oh goodness where to begin? We had such a great time getting to spend an entire week in MS with my family! Bo and I went over on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. A huge thank you to my wonderful husband and sweet parents for coordinating that trip. Since Jarrod had to work until Wednesday he drove me to Tuscaloosa and my parents picked us up there so that way we wouldn't have to deal with driving two cars back to Atlanta. He later joined us on Wednesday evening.
We were so busy chasing after Bo the entire time. My parents were absolutely exhuasted but they loved every second of it. We lucked up and had pretty good weather so we were able to get Bo outside pretty much every day. If he were awake we were outside playing.
One day we took him to Bass Pro Shop (my dad's favorite store), they had a Christmas display set up for kids and Bo loved it! He also loved seeing the huge fish in the fish tank. At one point he decided he'd just sit in front of it and have his snack! Then we went to see the Christmas set up...there was a train table and I kid you not he stood in front of it at one spot for 20 minutes, would not budge!
We also spent some time at a great park close to Pop and Bebe's house. He loved it! He got so dirty we had to strip him down to his diaper to ride in the car back home, oh how he's becoming more and more of a little boy every day!
My sweet mom, she's been having a lot of back problems lately but that didn't keep her from spending time with her #1 man!
yep, that's her letting him play in the mud.
Thanksgiving day we also celebrated an early Christmas for Bo. As usual he was spoiled rotten by Pop and BeBe. So many presents, but the funny thing is the very first thing he opened was a Thomas the Train and all he wanted to do was play with that one toy. We had to explain and show him there were more presents!
Next was the "Finale" of the gifts...Uncle Barney and Aunt Emily decided to give him a battery operated 4-Wheeler...and I'm not talking one of those little ones for a one year old...I'm talking a full blown 4 wheeler, it's going to take a little while for him to figure it out, but he loved getting on it!
Isn't this what daddy's and uncles are for?
Friday night we went up to Canton, MS where every year they have a huge Christmas light display. It was so much fun! Lights everywhere, Bo had a blast riding the carousel (he cried when he had to get off). Even dad got in on the fun and rode the cars with him. Nothing better than seeing a 6'5 man riding in a kids car haha! To finish it up we rode the train that went around the square.
A few more things we did that Bo absolutely loved, but we don't have pictures. Pop took mommy and Bo out on the 4-wheeler (the real one). We had a great time riding on trails and back in the woods. He kept making his "truck" sounds the entire time. He also got to ride in the back of Pop's truck, which I think was his favorite! He had a blast with the wind blowing in his face and again kept making truck sounds! He's such a little boy and I know it's becoming even more fun for Pop!
We had a wonderful time and hated to leave. I know I've said this before but it's such a heart warming feeling to see your parents who you know love your little boy just as much as you do! I never dreamed there could be so much love for one little boy! And I can assure you he knows he's loved by them...he was handing out kisses to Pop, Bebe, and Uncle Barney left and right. Of course when mommy asked I got a "no"! All of the pictures from our week are down below. Enjoy!
