So Bo is still at Pop and Bebe’s house in MS. On Sunday we met them in Tuscaloosa, it’s about half way for both of us. We always meet, eat lunch, and “do the exchange” there! Bo had no problem going, he hopped up in his car seat and was like “bye mom”!!! I on the other hand didn’t do so well. I was fighting back tears the entire time I was buckling him into his car seat, it didn’t help that he kept saying “I love you mom”. I was fine once we drove away and was looking forward to a week all my own.
I have been very busy this week. One thing that wasn’t on my list of things to do, but ended up making it’s way into the picture was painting Bo’s room. Last week we had professional painters come and paint baby’s room, our master, and Bo’s room. Well at the end of the day I just wasn’t happy with the color of Bo’s room. So I decided okay well he’s gone all week I can knock it out in a day no big deal. Well it wasn’t a big deal until I went to touch up a few places and when it dried it had not blended into the rest of the wall. So yesterday I had to go get more paint and repaint two complete walls. I wasn’t happy about it, but now it’s done and I can move on.
I’ve also been able to run a bunch of errands in PEACE!!! That’s been great! It’s also been great that I can run these errands whenever I want to. If it’s 4:30pm and I need to run out then I just go!! Let me explain that by 4:30pm Bo is usually done. There is no taking him to run a quick errand. Since he’s not napping anymore if he gets in the car that late he will fall asleep and as crazy as this sounds, even if he sleeps for 10 minutes that will throw his entire night off, it’s not worth it. Today I’m planning on staying close to home and relaxing. I need to clean the house or at least start on it, do laundry, make my grocery list, coupons, etc…
So what has Bo been up to? Well he’s having the time of his life. I think they have spent a lot of time outside, which he loves! They’ve been to the park a few times, Chick Fil A for lunch, baked cookies, watched movies, and the rest of the time been in the backyard playing with the new soccer ball that Pop and Bebe bought him. Yesterday was a real treat though. They went to visit his Uncle Bubba at work. Bo loves to go to the fire station, but this time was even more fun. While Bo and my mom were sitting in the fire truck my brother started it up, turned on the lights, and pulled it out into the driveway so Bo had his first official ride in a fire truck. Not sure too many kids can say that at the age of 3! Here are a few pictures my dad sent. We miss him so much, but we know he’s having so much fun!!!
